PATCHING THE NUMBER OF MONITOR PAGES

Appendix  B  of  the  V6.2  BOS  Cobol System Subroutines Manual
(included in document MMKUV6.2/27) correctly states that the  $F
PAM  instruction  may  be  used  to  increase the number of V6.2
Global System Manager monitor pages to 13.  This change is  only
necessary  in  order  to use an application that has been linked
with pageable subroutines.
 
However, because the pageable subroutines are an  integral  part
of  V7.0  the  number  of  pages is always correctly initialised
during system manager installation.
 
The $F PAM instruction must not be used to change the number  of
