522 - 17th February 1992 ************************ SPEEDQUERY ************************************************************* SpeedQuery was introduced about four years ago to provide query and reporter facilities to work on Speedbase databases. Its purpose is to allow very simple applications to be written by non programmers to operate on existing Speedbase databases. A small number of SpeedQueries have been sold over the past four years. Most users have found the query facilities to be usable but not in accordance with industry standard query facilities and have found the reporter facilities of SpeedQueries to be no better than those provided by Global Reporter. We are reviewing the long term future of query facilities on Speedbase databases running in C-ISAM or the or "Standard" Speedbase format. We have taken the decision to remove SpeedQuery from the list of available Global modules as soon as is feasible. Therefore, this bulletin acts as notice that SpeedQuery will no longer be available after 31st August 1992 and will no longer be supported by TIS Software after 31st August 1994.
