Payroll End Of Year/Version 6.0B Upgrade

Payroll End of Year 1991/92

A  problem  has  been  reported  by  a number of resellers.  The
problem is that in certain  circumstances  Employees  that  were
present  on  the  payroll  when  it  was upgraded to Global 2000
Payroll V6.0A do not have their NI letter printed on P60's.
 
This can be corrected either by manually entering the NI  letter
directly via "Adjust end of year data" or by running PREYF.
 
PREYF  has  been  produced  to save users and resellers time, it
will be included on Autozap run 7013 which will  be  distributed
during the first half of April 1992.
 
If  you require PREYF before you receive Autozap run 7013 please
fax the Hotline  requesting  a	copy,  stating	the  format  you
require.
 
Global 2000 Payroll V6.0B Upgrade

It   has  become  apparent  that  some	resellers  are	confused
regarding the correct procedure for upgrading from  Global  2000
Payroll V6.0A to V6.0B.
 
We  have recommended that users do not purge employee data prior
to upgrade.  This is to save  the  user  entering  some  of  the
additional information required to be held for the year 1992/93.
 
If,  for  some	reason, the data has been purged all is not lost
the information can be obtained from the PMF up until the  first
payroll  run of 1992/93.  A program will be included with Global
2000 Payroll V6.0B to extract this information but it  will  not
be performed automatically by the upgrade.
 
If  the  above still leaves you unsure please fax the Hotline to
obtain a more detailed explanation or ensure that your users  do
not  purge  data  and  wait for the release note for Global 2000
Payroll V6.0B which will provide a detailed explanation.
 
Changes to Payroll announced in March 1992 Budget

We understand that all changes to computerised	payroll  systems
announced in the budget are not applicable until 18th May 1992.
These include;
 
	 Changes to the PAYE threshold,
	 Suffix 'T' codes
	 Prefix 'D' & 'F' codes
	 Changes to emergency tax code (344L) handling
	 New table LR (20% tax band)
 
These changes are to be incorporated as standard  features  into
Payroll  V6.0B which will be available by 1st May 1992.  Payroll
V6.0A is not to be changed to accomodate these changes.
