534 - 7th April 1992 ******************** URGENT PAYROLL V6.0A PROBLEMS ***************************** Tax Band 1 ---------- The new rates file for use after 5 April 1992, distributed on Autozap run 7012 did not contain the correct earnings limit for Tax Band 1. The earnings limit in the rates file on Autozap run 7012 incorrectly has the earnings limit set to 20700, it should be 23700. The following changes are necessary to amend TAX limits for first Payroll run after 5th April 1992. 1. At Payroll main menu select option 7 "System Maintenance". 2. From System Maintenance main menu select option 1 "Amend Rates". 3. From Amend Rates sub-menu select option 2 "Amend Tax Rates". 4. A baseline message appears - "Key date in rates file range, to exit" with a default response for the system date. Key to accept this, assuming that the system date is after 5 April 1992. 5. A screen is displayed called "TAX RATES AND BANDS MAINTENANCE". Key "A" to Amend. This then selects Band 1, with a default figure of 20700, modify this figure to 23700. 6. Having entered 23700, rate 1 is selected with a default figure 25.00. Key to return to the baseline. 7. Key to confirm the modification. 8. Key twice more to return to the Payroll main menu. Error In Reseller Bulletin 528 ------------------------------ Reseller Bulletin 528, 3 March 1992, incorrectly stated that the SSP rate for average weekly pay 54.00 - 189.99 is 43.50, it should be 45.30. Although Reseller Bulletin 528 was incorrect the figure on the rates file supplied on Autozap run 7012 was correct.
