535 - 9th April 1992 ******************** URGENT PAYROLL V6.0A UPDATE *************************** Problem In Close Period 1 ------------------------- A bug has been found in the clearing down of company figures during the close period function for period one of the new year. This bug was introduced by Payroll V6.0A zap 42 which was first issued on autozap run 7008. Payroll V6.0A zap 55 has been produced to fix this problem. The problem is that the company figures for the previous year are not cleared down by close period for period 1 of the new year. Please note that the brought forward figures for last year should be printed in the brought forward column on the reconciliation report for period 1. These figures are cleared after producing this report. If any of your clients have closed period 1 with Payroll V6.0A zap 42 applied they can either restore prior to close period, apply Payroll V6.0A zap 55 and reclose period 1 or run a recovery program called PRREC to reset the brought forward figures. If PRREC is required please fax the hotline stating the format you require. PR-6.0A-55 changes the date of PR290 from 03/04/91 to 04/04/91. Rates file update ----------------- SMP Reseller Bulletin 528 stated:- "Statutory Maternity Pay rates have not changed:- (4) Standard Rates of SMP 46.30" This is in fact a new rate. The rates file should be amended to include this rate. We have recently been informed that the SMP compensation rate is 4.50%. The rate file should be amended to include this rate.
